The splendor that is St. Lucia, with its mountainous landscape and diverse culture and cuisine, makes it one of the most unique islands in the West Indies. Diversified by African, Indian, Caribbean, British, Spanish and French influences, the population of about 180,000 are some of the warmest, most kind people. Known by many for the Piton Mountains, St. Lucia is home to working plantations of fruit, spices, and cocoa, as well as waterfalls, white sand beaches, breathtaking hiking trails, and volcanic formations. The island is 14 miles wide and 27 miles long. The northern side is home to many of the local people, as well as Castries, the capital of St. Lucia.
A wonderful way to see the highlights of St Lucia – and to get there before the crowds do. Jesse and Alex looked after us so well. Jesse took charge of the boat and made the rum punch. Alex escorted us on land, took us to the mud baths, waterfall, traditional lunch etc. And then danced and sang on the boat ride home. They couldn’t do enough for us. Definitely recommend.
